Audrey-Elise #Part1

This past weekend, I officially became an auntie! Woohoo! Since I've got baby on the brain, I've decided to dedicate this blog (and a couple more later this semester) to...my niece (i.e. the next couple of blogs will somehow be about the beautiful baby girl in the picture at the bottom).

Dear Audrey-Elise,

You're finally here! I can finally hold you in my arms and I have got to say that I am so happy to see you. My heart cannot take how cute you are (and how good you smell, haha). I'm writing this blog post, for you, in the hopes that I can capture how I'm feeling about you in the first couple of days of your birth. One day you'll read this and I hope it brings you joy in knowing that you were loved the moment that you were born.

I wish for you to have the confidence to face life's toughest struggles, the wisdom to know what is right and wrong, the heart to take risks, the spirit to turn anyone's day around, that you always keep your family close, you stay true to yourself and you never stop trying. #DontStopBelievin (I'll teach you that song someday!)

I hope you know how much I love you now and how much I will always love you. I will always be here to wipe your tears away, hold your hand, and help you to see how beautiful of a little girl God made you to be. I am the luckiest of aunts to have you. I can’t wait to watch you grow and turn into the beautiful and amazing young woman I know you will be!

You have everything you need to live an amazing life. So get out there, give it all you’ve got, grab a hold and don’t ever let go. You are powerful. You are gifted. You are blessed. You are loved. Share it with the world.
