In Friday's lecture, we talked about anti-gay propaganda. As disheartening as that was to watch, it did get me thinking about how LGBTQ characters are portrayed in the media. The Foster's immediately came to mind. Below are some moments from a show that does a phenomenal job capturing the LGBTQ community.
The mamas' remarriage was everything we could have hoped for from such a beautiful show about love. (Season 1, Episode 10)

Aaron's mom slowly coming to accept her son for who he was. (Season 4, Episode 18)

Lena's stand against the lack of LGBTQ sexual education in the American school system (Season 4, Episode 15)

When Jude began dating a minister's son (Season 4 Episode 5)

Mama Lena and her advice to her son (Season 1, Episode 5)

The Fosters is currently airing it's 5th and final season on Freeform (you can binge previous seasons on Netflix as well). I advise anyone who's interested to check it out!!
